At Brides Expressions, we offer appointments for gowns, bridesmaids, tuxes, and prom.
We are open by appointment only on Saturdays.
What does this mean?
It means if you plan on just walking in on a Saturday, you may be turned away. We operate on a by-appointment-only basis on Saturdays (and have since June of 2020) to offer our customers more personalized attention, so you have a dedicated stylist who will have all their attention on ONLY you. Who wants to feel stressed while making a big decision like your wedding or prom dress?! No more fighting over dresses or stylists with other groups!
While we absolutely do not want to turn customers away, we first and foremost will respect our customers who did book in advance and give them the time & attention they deserve. If you do not see your desired time/day available please call us at 605-882-1010 and we will do our best to schedule you.

To book an appointment, click the button above. That will open up a new window on the booking page where you can select the date and time that works best for you. Appointments are 100% free. Your appointment selection is only a request, we will confirm the appointment if it fits with our schedule. If not, you will receive a call to work out a different date or time.
After your booking is confirmed, you will be emailed a 100% optional, short questionnaire. Please fill it out so we have an idea of your bridal vision prior to you stopping in. We may have some gowns pulled for you when you arrive!
Our gown appointments typically last anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours, so budget time accordingly. Bridesmaids, mothers, & prom appointments are budgeted 1 hour of time. Wedding tux appointments are 30 minutes, prom tux appointments are 15 minutes. An appointment for just measurements takes less than 5 minutes. If you believe you would need or want more time than stated, please let us know ahead of time and we will do our best to extend your time if we are able!
If you need to cancel or reschedule PLEASE give us a call at least one day prior. Not only is it polite, it gives us the chance to let someone else have your slot.
If you are more than 10 minutes late to your appointment with no notice or call, you forfeit your appointment slot and we reserve the right to refuse to service you if you do happen to show up.
If you are over your allotted time for your appointment, you may be asked to leave and schedule a follow up appointment. You are budgeted a certain amount of time and we cannot guarantee we can accommodate you to go over that time.
WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:
#1 suggestion, an open mind! Having an idea what you are looking for is always welcome, but sometimes we find that brides who are adamant about what they want may have a hard time if that particular style/color/feature doesn’t end up looking the best on you. Having an open mind can help with that! A lot of our brides fall in love with dresses they don’t ever imagine!
#2 suggestion, please wear underwear. We hate to have to say this, but you’d be surprised. Please, if you can, wear nude undergarments that are seam free. You may go commando in your own gown on your wedding day, but sample dresses are required to be tried on while wearing underwear for health & safety reasons.
#3 suggestion, you may wear a bra if you are not comfortable going without, and we suggest nude bras. Every sample you try on will have cups in the dress and most of the time going without a bra will give you a better idea of how a dress will fit. It is 100% up to your comfort level! We only step into the dressing room as needed, and will allow you to maintain privacy if you are not comfortable going without. We got you!
#4 suggestion, please have discussions with whoever you need about a clear-cut budget. We will work with you to keep your dream dress within your budget & with what you (or mom, dad, grandma, whoever is paying) are comfortable with spending, but we can’t do that if we don’t know what your budget is, or if you and whoever is paying have different ideas of what should be spent.
#5 suggestion, keep your entourage limited. There is such a thing as too many opinions! For your sake, bringing a small number (up to 4) of people whose opinions you want & need to say yes is best. We will never turn away parties due to size, but we ask that you be considerate as there may be other parties shopping at the same time as you. We also have limited seating in our store. If possible, we recommend not bringing children to the appointment. It’s hard for little ones to sit still for a long time! We will never turn away kids though. If they come along, they must be watched at all times. We have many expensive gowns and accessories in store and any damage caused by children in store is covered at the expense of the customer. We do not allow children to try on veils and accessories.
